The baroque style and brute gemstones, found in most cities of
the estate of Minas Gerais, are translated into an artistic
proposal, in gold, silver and steel, never merely decorative.
References to the "concrete" architecture of São Paulo and the
voluminous spaces of Brazil's Capital are also present.
More than jewellery, Virginia elaborates on body extensions, depending
on who uses them and their personality.
Exploiting abstractionism or straight forms, the jeweller disposes of a
diversity of textures and materials such as leather, sisal and acrylic,
together with the sophistication of precious stones, pearls and Italian
Murano glasses.
The irreverence is in good measure. The boldness is well thought to get
through different generations. Virginia draws the future at the present
moment.
